Company History
The idea for Mapes Mosaics originated after Mapes tried to find that special present for her best friend’s son's first birthday. Unable to find a bespoke mosaic gift that would last forever, she decided to make her own and soon realised that a new and exciting opportunity was born. Many people ask after the origins of the name “Mapes”. Well it is the nickname for Mary-Anne and like all good nicknames originated from
her Welsh grandmother who didn’t like her traditional English forename! Based in Llandybie, Carmarthenshire, Mapes Mosaics creates bespoke, personalised, handcrafted mosaics for the home & garden: house names & numbers, children’s bedroom plaques, a variety of animal pictures,birthday, wedding & anniversary gifts, garden signs and clocks or anything you fancy!!!
